With the mouth of the Tuggerah Lakes system remaining well open the fishing has been great in the lake\'s, especially for flathead.
Myself and many other anglers have been absolutley braining the flathead over the last month with no signs yet of the action dissipating.
Just recently I had one of my fishing buddies Shannon \'Blunty\' Blunt up for a fish and we nailed \'em.
We only kept the fish larger than 40cm\'s ( I think this should be the legal limit anyhow for a fish that can grow to a metre) while we caught many smaller but legal lizards.
All of these fish where caught on plastics, maily Berkeley power bait softies, but many where caught on other varieties including some of my own creations mixed and matched from torn and broken plastics.
Although we didn\'t land any real thumpers we did manage a couple of 50cm models, this despite a few larger fish that have been landed by other anglers recently, one going 90cm\'s
Until next time
Make sure your rod is bent
