Local Caboolture business Fisher Boats, specialists in building boats to suit the needs of fishermen, have ventured into new waters custom building a dive boat named Screw The Limits, partnered with the latest Suzuki DF300.
Screw The Limits was built at the request of a dive enthusiast who insisted that Fisher Boats custom build a recreational boat that could be used for diving, fishing and skiing.
Fisher Boats Proprietor Col Svensson said they decided to partner the vessel with the Suzuki DF300 to lift the fine craft to another level.
“It is a perfect partner for a Fisher of this size and beauty, sharing the same warranty of five years and light weight capabilities,” Mr Svensson said.
Worth approximately $140,000, Mr Svensson believes that this dive boat is no ordinary craft - said to exemplify the best aesthetic and manufacturing capabilities the market has to offer.
“After extensive research and discussions we designed Screw The Limits to incorporate special features for cooking, eating, sleeping, storage and not to mention, special anchor points for air tanks, portable B.B.Q mounting points and an in built gas stove and sink,” he said.
Mr Svensson said that the fact that there was a dive fanatic out there who was interested in their company hand crafting a boat to suit their needs was a great testament to their reputation within the boating market.
“The customer initially came to Fisher Boats with a 5.8 metre and a DF140 Suzuki in mind but left with a 6.8 metre and a DF300 Suzuki, which is why we called it Screw The Limits.
“By opting for the DF300, the vessel will have 220.7 kw maximum output at its disposal, which is quite befitting given its name,” Mr Svensson said.
For many years now Fisher Boats have been at the forefront of designing custom plate alloy boats with their aim to create the ultimate fishing experience.
“The ride, the safety and the looks are only a few of the attributes that see these boats growing rapidly in numbers across Australia,” Mr Svensson said.
