With the first day off in over two month't I snuck an oportunity to fish my local waters.

Went for a fish with the kids on Thursday. While we didn't actually end up catching anything it was great to just get my girls out on the water again. We were fishing for mullet under a float though we were only there for about 45mins-1hr (I generally keep it short to keep Isabelle (my 2 1/2 year old) interested. While the Nepean Rowing Club wharf isn't a great place for any type of fishing after they sealed off the Nepean Rowing Club weir to public access it is the closest freely accessible point to fish. Isabelle had a ball though and it's good to see she is honing those skills.

It's never to early to get the kids into fishing
After setting Isabelle up and putting the baby down I threw on a Spinner bait in the hope of attracting a tacker Bass that was to small to migrate down to the salt for the winter. Low and behold if I didn't get a follow on the retreive. YeeHaa, cant wait until the Bass are back. I changed to a Stump Jumper in a further effort to persuade a bite, but up fortunately no takers. Soon though :)
