The Inaugral Tri-Estuary Challenge held by the Mermibula Big Game and Lakes Angling Club on November 25th and 26th saw a huge number of fish caught and released, including bream measuring 395mm and dusky flathead of 805mm.

There was $1,100 in prize money split for the first place winners, and a further $1,500 of prizes donated by the Merimbula Tackle World Store, including a lucky angler prize of a Bermuda Tackle Bag, Steve Starling Squidgy Spin Rod, Shimano Nexus Reel, selection of soft plastics and an enviro net.

The presentation at the clubrooms was attended by 80+ people, and included a great raffle.

Below is a junior Angler collecting a Flueger Combo as the prize for the second longest tailor.
