After nearly 30 years of guiding fly fishers he has decided to retire.

As many of you may know, Margaret and John sold Nimmitabel Motel a couple of years ago, and I have been operating in "semi-retired" mode since then.

John Killip
Being a legend in the industry and recognized around the world it is more then a little loss to the industry and to Spooled. John has even taught some of the very accomplished Spooled team how to fly fish some 18 years ago. I am sure Margaret will breath a little easier with the knowledge that John's head will no longer be bombarded with wizzing Woolly Buggers or rampaging Royal Wulff from would be fly fishermen any longer.

I am told John shall continue to write the odd magazine article from time to time, so keep your eye out for those. Dont be surprised if you pass him on the waters of the Snowy-Monaro, as any fly fisherman knows - once a fly fisherman always a fly fisherman.

John we would like to all thankyou very much for your contributions to Spooled, our abilities and our knowledge. We wish Yourself and Margaret all the very best in your retirement.

Richard.
