Hi Folks, Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what the impact may be to fishing stocks and water quality in the Botany Bay area once they start putting the inlet pipes in and around the head and bay? Recently my club (St George and Sutherland Shire Anglers Club) had a survey completed so we could dredge our inlet and it was found there were no heavy metals, endangered weeds or species etc. My fear is that when they start stirring up the bottom there will be a large amount of heavy metals and other toxic elements that have been hidden by nature over the years let loose in the water. I also fear that this will either drive the fish away or subject us to a situation similar to that of Sydney Harbour a few years ago where the fish were not recommended for human consumption etc. Your thoughts would make very interesting reading. Wazza
