whats your thoughts on what effects the rain has on fishing? i been flicking soft plastics around lake macquarie and haveing gr8 sucess. seems to have slowed a tad, could this be because of all the rain?

Same thing just down the road in Lake Munmorah Diver1. Fishing was pretty good until we had a big rain and now with so much fresh in the water the fish have gone walkabout. Beach is going pretty good though. Things usually fire up a bit though once the water gets back to it's normal salty self.
