I reckon PNG for those BIG black bass would be pretty awsome. See my fishing galleries here...

What a top Topic, and what a tuff question. There are so many Species and Locations on my "To Fish List". Yes PNG for Black Bass is definately one. But Flyfishing for Bonefish in Belize is also. I would have to say Flyfishing Chinook Salmon is on my list too. Damn it's tuff. I could just keep going. |

Missed the Canada bit for the Chinook's but just thought about Nile perch in Africa. How sad is it that the fishing can ignite so many feeling - I love the bug. Although once you have it, you definately have it. |

I love lock up the drag and hold on fishing and for that reason I would have PNG at the top of my list. New Zealand has also been a place I have wanted to visit not only for the great trout fishing but also the saltwater stuff. Where I live getting a couple of blackfish(luderick not the freshwater type)is not bad but in the land of the long white cloud they refer to them in a similar vane to carp! and they grow 'em big over there. Also they have monster snapper, kingies and the like which come in of the rocks. Awsome. |

Hopfully one day I'll get to Lord Howe Island, to tangle with those big kings they have out there, or maybe NZ for the Kings and Snapper. Id love to have a go at Land based for their Kings and Snapper, that looks awsome. |

Another place I read about recently is in Mexico. Cabo San Lucas to be exact on the Baja Peninsula. They would have to have the most crazy beach fishing anywhere in the world where you have 30 pound plus kingies, big cero mackeral and thumping great rooster fish belting lures in the surf. Yipee. |

What about Gt's in Vanauatu, theres been a bit writen on that over the last couple of month's in the fishing mags, looks alright. Have to admit I've never caught one but while fishing up of dunk Island about 4yrs ago, one had a go at a surface popper I was using, only about 5m from the back of the boat. It actually missed the popper but the fright it gave me only meters from the back of the boat has me dreaming of the day I hook one. |

Just thought of another one. Not all that exotic but as close to Black bass fishing as we are likely to get. Monster mangrove jacks in northern NSW and southern QLD. Not reef fish but 4-5kg bruisers living in estuaries. Need a guide though I'm sure as I've heard they aren't super plentiful and the locals guard their wereabouts with their lives! |
