Heres some pics of English specimens

From the top they are Barbel 14lb - they grow to 22lb. Bream 14lb - they grow to 19lb. Wels catfish 198lb (caught in Spain) they go to 60lb plus in UK. Eel - 7lb - UK record 11lb. Chub - 8lb 14oz (this is the record fish). Perch (redfin) this is the record fish 5lb 15oz. Roach - 2lb 4oz - record is over 4lb. Zander - 9lb - they grow to 20lb in the UK. Carp - this is the world record fish at 84lb - UK record 61lb.

Here are three more pic's .....Tench record 14lb 6oz and a Pike of 33lb.also the English record carp named 'two tone' at 61lb, all the big fish have names...

Why is it that the English love catching stingrays when in oz we consider them as a waste of time and certainly would not eat them you guys call then skate and poor mans scallops Im not trying to be rude its just a general questions why would somone want to target them

Its a good question mate and I'm with you on this one.... I don't understand it either, they have no appeal to me whatsoever.

I dont fish in the sea around England, its the wrong colour :o)
