not so long ago i became an ebay addict , thinking i was getting some great bargains and plenty of them . However after using some bought items for a short time they slowly began to break down. I am now a buyer of nothing but quality items , shimano, okuma and daiwa . Rods can still be a good pick up but whatever you do always go back to the tried and tested stuff. Some lures i've bought have been binned or accidently lost ,though i have found some brilliant cheapies that have proven themselves . One type of lure i had an automatic liking as they reaped rewards immediately ,have also given a young lad one for a tryout and 15 minutes later he was back having caught n released 4 bream . A week later the same lure hooked onto a legal sized snapper through our river system followed by a monster bream of 55cm , i want that lure back ! my biggest is only 42.5cm good on him , the smile will never be gone from his face and he'll never forget the person who gave it to him , i hope.

Hi BK61, Ebay is good if you know what you are looking for, and if you know what the retail price is of the product, I also learnt the hard way, buying what I thought was some bargains over the net, my 8yo son now owns a lot of what I would call crap, but ok for him learning, in saying this, I have scored some bargain rods, and some great lures, but I now tend to stay away from buying reels, hers hoping the youg fella remembers where he got the lure from, even if he doesn't, I'm sure it left you feeling good.

Tight lines Daz
