Well the Samson fish and Blue finn Tuna have been going off this week we have been out past Rottnest Island landing Samsons to 1.8 metres long and averaging 35-50 kg and Tuna in the 5kg range Samsons have been taking jiggs where as with the Tuna they have fallen to Williamson skirts.The weather has been fine in the morning with the sea breeze coming in with a vengance by 1pm

Divemaster we were fishing for the Samsons in the 200-250 mt mark for the tuna they were caught in 35mt was out today on the south west bank hooked on to and landed 3 tuna biggest was 11kg blue finn

Hi 'dogsoilder', My Dad and I have been trying to get out and get some Pink Snapper or a Dhue fish. I've hear that west of Graden Island is a good spot. Would you mind pointing me in the righ direciton. Not many poeple are willing to help with this one? Cheers, Divemaster

Cheers, Not problem buddy your right about the West End of Garden Island head out to the five fathom bank if you have a plotter it should be in there depths range there from 15-30mt or a bit further along is the south west bank you can get in to some large pinkies,dhuies or sambo's depth there is about 40mt.There is also Mewston which is opposite Garden island and at the moment there are king george whiting and salmon there good luck

Many thanks, My Dad actually asked me tonight to ask you about a previous report you wrote on rockingham. You mentioned the West end of Garden Island by the oyster stacks, but I haven't been to the west end, only the oyster stacks at the east end closer to Woodmans point boat launch. I will let you know how I went. Also, I have added a pic in Image folder form my last trip to exmouth. My biggest catch to date. Cheers, Divemaster.

Yep thats a nice spanyard you caught there.If fishing rockingham also try near the causeway as there are some large squid there at the moment. Good luck

Dont forget the Salmon that have now arrived in Perth. Plenty of fish in the 5-6kg range with a few Horses around 8kg mixed in with them. Some very large schools measured in the tonnes but lots of groups of 20-50 fish which have split off from the main schools.

Havn't been fishing much as most of the fishing I prefer to do is from a boat and I dont have one I hitch a ride and also the weather here has been pretty rough did go out yesterday to the containers but didn't have the camera so I cant put up a report due to admin's rules.Have been watching the post's with intrest.We have a fishing comp coming up shortly north vrs south so there should be a few reports coming from the WA members

Yep Tim the South will take the day have been making up rigs today in preparation so if I get busted off dont have to waste time remaking a new rig,got the berley ready just need to organise a couple of bait collecting trips

Hi Guys, Been away and busy at work and haven't had a chanse to catch up on replies. When and where is the comp held? Planning a trip to Exmouth again soon with my Dad. Will keep you posted and hope to see some of you guys up there. Should be a good trip as I will be taking our boat this time round.

Comp is being held on the 9th of this month first leg is from pt peron then second leg the following weekend is from one of the northern boat ramps
