Hi newie to the forum but very keen fisho.

Im looking for one or two land based fishing spots in sydney. The spit bridge is a good spot for pigs (which i have caught pigs there before i read it on the site) Over the other side in clontaf the beach is good for whiting ang bream on soft plastics.

Hey Meatman, I live near Parramatta, and I just finished reading an article in Fishing World that "supposedly" tells me Parra river is a know hot-spot for nice Jewfish- but of course you shouldnt eat them. The other place I regularly get info (from another website) is Narrabeen lake and any of the Northern Beaches- I hear Dee Why is good for Bream and Whiting and Whale Beach off the headland is good for Pigs and Snapper. Unfortunately I couldnt tell you first hadn of the fishing cause I usually go up the CentralCoast, but I have family who live at Bilgola- not too far from either Narrabeen or Dee Why. I have been talking about going to Dee Why or Narrabeen with a couple of mates for a few weeks now but not on the cards until next month- maybe if you regularly check these here forums I might post when I am going and you could meet us there- up to you budd. Anyways, hope this helps Cheers Ant74
