Born Brisbane 1960, educated in New South Wales and Queensland. Completed his HSC at Richmond High School NSW in 1978. First work published in the local newspaper, the Richmond Review, at age 16 (cartoons and pen & ink sketches). After leaving school he worked in the Mount Isa Mines for eighteen years. In April 1999 decided to start his own freelance art business and continues in this field.

Barra Country was first published in the Mount Isa newspaper, the North West Star in June 1997. It is also published in the Gulf and Barkly News NT, Queensland Fishing Monthly, Barra Bass and Bream, and the NAFA fishing magazines. He draws for many different companies and organizations, with the bulk of his work produced for the private sector.

He has work on private display in Germany, America, England, Ireland and New Zealand.

He has three Sons and a Grandson.
